Clients' Rights and Therapists' Expectations
All our Clients have the right to:

To be treated in a highly professional but caring manner at all times.

Everything said in counselling sessions will be in complete confidence, except if there appears to be a danger that the client may cause harm to themselves or others, however this will first be discussed with the client.

To be provided with counselling which is focused but non directive.

The respect and dignity of their individuality regardless of their gender, religion, race, colour, sexuality or beliefs.
The Clients' responsibilities for Successful Therapy:

To be honest and open with your therapist in talking about yourself and the issues that have brought you to counselling.

That you will reflect on your conversations with your therapist in between sessions.

Ask any questions you may have as therapy progresses and maintain a high level of involvement in the direction of counselling.

To keep to your weekly appointment or at least to give 24 hours notice if you need to change or cancel the appointment. A cancellation fee is charged when less than 24 hours is given.
